This tutorial shows how to transfer a domain name (or Push a domain name) from one account to another in within Godaddy environment. All you need to initiate the domain name transfer is :
- Godaddy login name or Customer# of the new registrant,
- Registrant’s email address.
This process usually takes about 2 minutes to complete, but it takes few minutes to few hours to reach to the new user.
After you login to your godaddy account:
Step #1: Tick the domain name you want to transfer to another Godaddy account.
Step #2: Click on the “Change Account” button (as is shown by “Initiate Account Change ” icon).
Step #4: Put the login name or Customer# of the new registrant.
Step #5: Put the registrant’s email address , and confirm it (Do Not Cut and paste it, you have tape it ).
Step #6: Choose details from specified customer account option, then click on Next.
Step #7: Read carefully the “Domain Name Change of Registrant” terms and agreement, if you agree, tick both icons and then press Next .
Step #8: Click on finish, if you want to cancel you still have the option.
Step #9: After you clicked on finish, you get a confirmation for the domain transfer click OK to terminate the transfer, but note the transfer will not be immediaty, it may take few minutes to hours (but usually few minutes) to take effect. In the other end, the user will receive a confirmation email of the domain name transfer, and that’s it.
